EVANSTON, Ill. - No. 6 Northwestern turned in six more dominating performances on day two of the NU Duals, improving to a perfect 19-0 on the year. The Wildcats defeated University of California at San Diego 24-3, North Carolina 24-3, Temple 22-5, Wayne State 21-6, Johns Hopkins 21-6 and Lawrence 26-1.
"I was very happy with the team's performance over the weekend. They fenced very strongly and won all of the matches quite handily."
The `Cats were never really challenged, sweeping seven out of a possible 15 weapon divisions.
"Several people had undefeated records, so no one in particular really stood out. The foil team stepped up and fenced very well without Julia Foldi yesterday. Sullivan won a match against one of Wayne State's two excellent epeeists and I was very proud of her for that."
