EVANSTON, Ill. -- Sophomore Will Nicholas (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring a pair of goals and recording three assists last weekend in Northwestern's Lakeside Classic.

Nicholas had a hand in all four of NU's goals Friday in a 4-1 win over UW-Green Bay, scoring one and assisting on three others. He then netted the overtime match-winner in the 101st minute against DePaul Sunday. He was named Tournament MVP for his efforts.

After entering the weekend with no points, Nicholas is now second on the team with seven points for the season. The honor is the first of his career.

The Wildcats are off to a 4-1 start, their best record in the program's history. NU followed up its title in the North Shore Classic September 4-5 with another championship in the Lakeside Classic last weekend.
