EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's lacrosse team crashed the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) national poll this week, earning the No. 20 spot after a 2-1 start that included Saturday's 14-13 win at Rutgers.

The Wildcats also defeated Davidson to start the season; their only loss came at No. 4 Duke, 15-9.

In addition to the team's honor, sophomore Lindsey Munday was honored by insidelacrosse.com as an honorable mention National Player of the Week. Munday, who led NU in scoring last season as a freshman, provided the heroics in the Rutgers game with the winning goal in the final minute. It was her third goal of the game; she has five on the season.
