Christy Olin Finishes 41st in 100 Fly at NCAA Championships

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Northwestern junior Christy Olin (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) finished in 41st position in the 100 butterfly Saturday, her first event at the NCAA Championships in College Station, Texas.

Olin swam a 1:02.34 in her 100 fly preliminary heat. The top 16 finishers in the preliminaries advanced to the finals. A time of 1:00.07 was needed to move on.

Olin and sophomore teammate Michelle Oeser (Eliot, Maine/Marshwood) return to the pool tomorrow for the Championships' last day. Olin will swim the 200 butterfly while Oeser will compete in the 100 freestyle. Oeser finished 53rd in the 50 free on Thursday.
