EVANSTON, Ill. - At the Junior World Cup Championships over the weekend, sophomore Sara Pecherek (Park Ridge, Ill./Maine South) finished 16th out of 64 entries in the epee competition. She was 3-3 in the pool and then won two direct elimination bouts before losing to Kaela Brendler, from Ohio State, who finished 3rd.

Sophomore Sophie Eustis (Andover, Mass./Concord Academy) finished 49th in the sabre competition. Sophomore Mai Vu (New York, N.Y./Bronx Science) was 4-2 in the pool and finished 20th.

Most of the Wildcat upperclassmen were not allowed to participate in the competition, as only fencers age 20 and younger could enter.

The entire squad is back in action Saturday, Nov. 20 and Sunday, Nov. 21 for the NU Duals.
