EVANSTON, Ill. - After winning his first two matches of the Milwaukee Classic to advance to the round of 16, junior Adam Schaechterle (Oconomowoc, Wis./Kettle Moraine) dropped his third match to No. 5 seed Andy Columbo 6-2, 6-4.
Schaechterle had won his previous two matches in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 and 6-3, 6-4.
In doubles action, senior Justin Hoeveler (Ross, Calif./The Branson School) teamed with Schaechterle to defeat Clow and Reckewey 8-3.
