NU Concludes Competition at North American Cup

SAN JOSE, Calif.--Sharon Sullivan (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) took 14th in the junior women's epee competition at the USFA North American Cup to lead all NU epeeists on Sunday.
Sullivan, who also paced her squad with a 33rd-place finish in the senior/division 1 event, out-did her 24th-place performance at last year's competition. This year, 78 fencers competed, with the top 32 earning points toward their ranking.
In other results, Sara Pecherek (Park Ridge, Ill./Maine South) tied for 40th, Courtney DuBois (Chatham, N.J./Oak Knoll) tied for 48th and Sarah Gravlee (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) ended up 72nd.
The Wildcats will play host to the Midwest Duals this weekend. Nine teams will compete on Saturday and Sunday at SPAC.
