VERONA, Wis. -- Due to poor course conditions caused by heavy rain throughout Friday afternoon, only 13 holes were played in the first round of the 2003 Badger Invitational.
Held at University Ridge Golf Club, play began with a 1 p.m. shotgun start, but was soon suspended for over an hour due to rain. Play began again at 3:40 and continued until dusk, but was again suspended due to rain. The remaining first-round holes will be played Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start for round two.
Live results available on golfstat.com will be unofficial until the completion of round one. The Wildcats are tied for fourth with Mary Ellen Grzebien leading the Northwestern contingent.
