NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Despite four goals from junior Courtney Koester, the Northwestern women's lacrosse team fell for the third straight time against a nationally ranked opponent Friday. This time it was No. 18 Johns Hopkins who felled the 'Cats in an American Lacrosse Conference game, 14-7.
The 19th-ranked 'Cats (5-3, 1-3 ALC) were down 5-2 at the half, but came back to knot the score at 5-5 before the Blue Jays took control.
Lindsey Munday, Lynda McCandlish and Donna McCann also scored for the Wildcats, while freshman Laura Glassanos had an assist.
In goal, Ashley Gersuk had 10 saves for Northwestern.
The Wildcats will now return home from spring break and are off until next Sunday, when they host the University of Connecticut. That game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. CST.
