PARRISH, Fla. -- A third-place finish by Northwestern senior Elizabeth Burden (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) highlighted the Wildcats' first spring tournament. Sophomore Ina Kim (Encino, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) also enjoyed a strong tournament, placing 12th among the 75 players who were competing.

As a team, the Wildcats finished 13th with a three-round score of +83 (322-310-315=947). Ohio State, which produced the tournament's medalist, Kristen White (+2), won the event, edging Baylor.

Burden went 1-over for the final two rounds to finish 7-over (78-72-73=223) for the tournament. She finished five strokes behind White. Kim was 4-over on Tuesday and 12-over (75-77-76=228) for three rounds.

Junior Lauren Grzebien (Saunderstown, R.I./Narragansett) placed 53rd, shooting 26-over (85-73-84=242).

The Wildcats return to the links next week, playing in the annual Verizon "Mo"Morial on March 3-4 in Houston, Texas.
