Wildcats Lead After Day One of NU Invite

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern charged out to lead the TYR Northwestern Invitational after the first day of competition, gaining 311 points through five events.
The Wildcats claimed first-place finishes in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:36.38 and the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:50.41.
Katie Paglini, who swam the lead leg in the medley relay, took first in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:04.63.
Senior Vicky West finished first in the 500 freestyle event with a time of 4:56.10 and Erica Rose finished two spots behind her in third with a time of 5:00.67.
The TYR NU Invite continues tomorrow with the preliminary session beginning at 10 a.m. and the finals session at 5 p.m.
