MADISON, Wis. - Northwestern fell to Wisconsin 143-91 Thursday night in Madison. The Wildcats' Christy Olin broke a Wisconsin pool record in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:01.26. She also beat her previous personal-best time of 2:01.28.
The Wildcats dominated in the diving events. Freshman Leanne Dumais claimed first-place finishes in both the 1 and 3-meter events while teammate Ashley Carter took second in the two events.
Senior Erica Rose had a strong showing, tallying second-place finishes in the 500 and 1000 freestyle with times of 5:01.26 and 10:12.30, respectively.
Katie Paglini, Katie Simmons and Michelle Oeser each posted second-place finishes as well. Paglini took second in the 200 back; Simmons in the 200 breast and Oeser in the 100 freestyle.
Freshman Kristen Kilroy rounded out the Wildcats' strong performance in the 200 fly by finishing third with a time of 2:07.14.
NU is back in the pool next Saturday when they host Minnesota at the Norris Aquatics Center at 2 p.m.
