Wildcats Announce 2002 Fall Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's lacrosse team has announced its 2002 fall schedule.
The highlight will be Sunday, Oct. 6 when the Wildcats host their Fall Festival Playday at Lakeside Field with Ohio State and Notre Dame, a pair of NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago. A complete schedule for that day is below.
Another highlight takes place Saturday, Oct. 19 when the Wildcats take part in the annual fall event at George Mason University. Traditionally one of the strongest fields among the fall jamborees, the GMU Tournament will pit NU against some of the nation's top teams including Maryland -- winner of seven consecutive NCAA titles until this past season -- and Cornell, a Final Four team a year ago who ended Maryland's title streak in the quarterfinal.
The Wildcats will also be in action on Homecoming weekend (Saturday, Oct. 26). They will take on Michigan at 8:30 a.m., then follow it up with an alumni game at 10 a.m.
On Friday, Nov. 1 Northwestern will hold its Purple and White scrimmage at 4 p.m.
