EVANSTON, Ill. - Freshman Sarah Albrecht (Braintree, Mass./Thayer Academy) was named the American Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week for her efforts in games against Brown, Ohio University and Duquesne.

She is the first Northwestern player to earn Player of the Week honors in the newly formed ALC.

Albrecht began the week with a three-goal performance in a 13-6 loss at Brown, leading the team in scoring in the game. Four days later, on Friday, Albrecht had two goals and an assist as the Wildcats knocked off Ohio, 9-8, for its first win in the ALC. Albrecht's assist came on the goal that put NU ahead for good, and she would later score what proved to be the game-winner.

Two days later, Albrecht had a goal and two assists as the 'Cats knocked off Duquesne, 10-8, in nonconference action.
