
Women's Basketball Loses to Indiana, 74-52

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Freshman Sarah Kwasinski (Chicago, Ill./Fenwick) scored a game-high 22 points, hitting 11-of-13 shots, as Northwestern women's basketball fell to Indiana, 74-52, Sunday afternoon in Bloomington.
Kwasinski and Indiana's Tara Jones were the only two players to reach double figures as Jones finished with 21, including four three pointers.
Indiana took control of the game late in the first period, outscoring NU 15-4 in the final 5:59 of the half.
As has been the case all year, the second stanza was an evenly contested 20 minutes with IU outscoring the Wildcats 33-30.
Kwasinski's .846 shooting percentage is a season-high and placed her 10th on the single-game field goal percentage list. Kwasinski also finished atop the Big Ten standings in blocked shots, sharing the honor with Indiana's Jill Chapman. Both centers finished with 36 blocks in conference action.
Northwestern is back in action this Thursday when they face Wisconsin in the first round of the Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament. The conference championship is being held at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. Game time is set for 8 p.m. EST.
