Box Score

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin's Jessie Stomski scored 18 of her game-high 24 points in the first half as the No. 25 Badgers recorded an 80-47 victory over Northwestern Thursday night at the Kohl Center.

Freshman Sarah Kwasinski (Chicago, Ill./Fenwick) recorded a team-high 15 points and eight rebounds and blocked four shots to lead the Wildcats. NU shot just 30 percent (18-for-60) for the game.

With the four blocks, Kwasinski is one block shy of third place on NU's single-season blocked shots list. Third place is held by Anucha Browne, who blocked 48 shots during the 1982-83 season.

Northwestern trailed 13-12 with 10:48 remaining, when Wisconsin used a 26-9 spurt to end the first half, essentially taking control of the game. The Badgers shot 57 percent in the first half.

Northwestern never got closer than 13 points in the final 20 minutes.

Freshman Suzanne Morrison (Franklin, Mich./Detroit Country Day) came off the bench to score nine points and pull down five rebounds for NU.

Northwestern falls to 4-20 overall, 0-13 in the Big Ten. The 'Cats are next in action this Sunday when they host Ohio State (11-14, 6-8) at Welsh-Ryan Arena at 2 p.m.
