Seven 'Cats to Represent NU at Junior NAC

EVANSTON, Ill. - Seven Northwestern fencers will get some extra individual competition at this weekends USFA Junior North American Cup. Lauren Dunn (Sacramento, Calif./Del Campo), Julia F?ldi (Budapest, Hungary/Szent Istavan Gimnazium) and freshman Sharon Sullivan (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) highlight the Wildcat fencers scheduled to compete.
Sullivan had an impressive debut, winning her first three ep?e events. Earlier this year, she took home the Big Ten Club Championships, the USFA Burton and the USFA Remenyik titles. F?ldi, a foilist, and Dunn, a sabreist, also racked up a few titles.
Fellow freshmen Emily Pasternak (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) and Christina Wang (Milpitas, Calif./Castilleja) and sophomore Kelsey Nencheck (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) will also make the trip.
The Junior NAC is one of a handful of events where points can be earned to make the junior national team.
Northwestern begins its dual season Nov. 16 when it hosts the NU Duals.
