EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern University women's lacrosse coach Kelly Amonte Hiller has announced the 2002 "Fall Lacrosse Series," a trio of events for high school girls' lacrosse players that will take place at Northwestern.
Northwestern will hold two "Playdays." These sessions will begin with players learning stickwork and other skills that will help them improve their game in the offseason, before scrimmaging during the latter half of the session. The Playdays will take place Sunday, Oct. 27 (9-11:30 a.m.) at the Lakeside Field Turf Facility; and Sunday, Nov. 24 (9-11:30 a.m.) at the Trienens Indoor Facility by Ryan Field.
On Sunday, Nov. 10, Northwestern will host a 7v7 tournament at the Lakeside Field Turf Facility. For the 7v7 tournament, players will be put onto teams with other players from their area and age group. HOWEVER, players may submit a team if they have a group of friends they would like to work with that are signed up for the series. The 7v7 tournament will run from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Cost for the Fall Lacrosse Series is $125 and covers all three events. This is a one-time fee for all three events. For more information, contact the Northwestern lacrosse office at (847) 491-5059.
