Milwaukee, Wis. - Men's soccer lost for the second time this season, falling to UW-Milwaukee Wednesday, at Engelmann Field in Milwaukee. The loss drops the Wildcats to 0-2-1 two weeks into the young season.

The 'Cats once again struggled on the defensive end, allowing 31 Panther shots. NU freshman goalie Ryan Pederson (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville North) saved 14 attempts, but four found their way to the back of the net.

Ryan Seymour and Kyle Lance put on a show for the home crowd as the two hooked up for three Panther goals. Seymours first goal of the afternoon came within the first minutes of the game, as he knocked in a crossing pass from Lance eight yards out. Lance and Seymour swapped places in the second half, hooking up for the Panthers third goal. Lance would find Seymour again later in the second half, giving Seymour his second goal of the game and completing the 4-0 shutout. The Panthers other goal was an unassisted attempt in the 36th minute by Chris Brisson.

"Our goals this year include working hard and striving to win every game," stated Wildcat head coach Tim Lenahan after the game. "Tonight we did neither, but the sign of a growing program is the ability to bounce back after a tough loss and we plan to do just that Friday when we face Drake."

The 'Cats host the Bulldogs at Lakeside Field this Friday at 4 p.m.
