Women's Lacrosse Ranked Sixth in Preseason WCLL Poll

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's club lacrosse team, which will become a varsity next spring, was ranked sixth in the Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League (WCLL) Preseason Poll. The Wildcats received 104 voting points in the ballot. Miami (Ohio) was ranked first with 288 voting points and 19 of 29 first-place votes, while Michigan was second with 242 points (five first-place votes).
Three teams from the WCLL will receive bids to the national club championships at the end of the spring. The national championships are being held this year in St. Louis.
The club team is being headed this spring by Kelly Amonte Hiller as she brings the program back to varsity status.
