Men's Tennis Defeats Tulsa, 4-3

Evanston, Ill. - The 28th-ranked Northwestern men's tennis team (8-3, 2-1) edged Tulsa, 4-3, in backdraw play at the Blue-Gray Invitational in Montgomery, Ala. The Wildcats were victorious in four of the six singles matches to advance to the next round. NU will square off against Alabama at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Brad Erickson won his second match in as many days, fending off Dane McGregor in straight sets at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-2. Jamie Sahara also remained undefeated in the tournament. Sahara needed three sets to knock of Tulsa's No. 4 singles player Aleiandro Tejerro, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. Ryan Edlefsen and Josh Axler also posted wins for NU in singles.
To open the match, Tulsa won two of three doubles matches to earn the first point.
