Evanston, Ill. - In day two of competition at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, Northwestern did not qualify any swimmers to the evening finals.

Freshman Erica Rose (Cleveland, Ohio/Hawken School) led the `Cats with a career-best time 4:20.26 in the 400 IM, which placed her 20th.

Senior Tashy Bohm (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) finished 23rd in the 100 backstroke (55.68), six spots shy of the finals cut. She will compete in her strongest event tomorrow, the 200 backstroke.

Vicky West (Redlands, Calif./Redlands) raced in her first individual event of the championships finishing 54th in the 200 freestyle (1:52.33).

NU's 200 medley relay swam to a 21st-place finish (1:45.69). The relay team consisted of Bohm, Susie Sample (LaGrange, Ill./Lyons Township), Rachel Johnson (Champaign, Ill./Centennial) and West.
