Two Women's Divers Compete at NCAA Diving Zones

Evanston, Ill. - Two Northwestern women's divers competed at the NCAA Diving Zones held at Indiana University March 9-10. Freshman Kristen Lorentz (Warren, Mich./Regina) and sophomore Kristin Ward (Oakton, Va./St. Stephens's and St. Agnes) participated in the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Lorentz led the duo with a 32nd-place finish in the 1-meter (195.15). Ward was right behind her with 186.25 points and a 33rd-place finish. In the 3-meter competition, Lorentz placed 34th with 188.00 points while Ward finished 41st with 171.50.
The `Cats will be represented at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships this weekend at Long Island, N.Y., by Tashy Bohm (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central), Rachel Johnson (Champaign, Ill./Centennial), Erica Rose (Cleveland, Ohio/Hawken School), Susie Sample (LaGrange, Ill./Lyons Township) and Vicky West (Redlands, Calif./Redlands).
