Evanston, Ill. - The No. 41 Northwestern men's tennis team upset No. 33 Boise State, 4-3, Saturday in Eugene, Ore. Returning to his hometown, Brad Erickson defeated Mark Robertson to give the Wildcats the decisive fourth victory and keep their undefeated streak intact.
Northwestern gained what would be the crucial deciding point in doubles, sweeping all three matches in close affairs. In singles, Erickson emerged victorious in three sets at the No. 2 spot, while Joost Hol rolled to a straight-set win at No. 3 and Ryan Edlefsen won in straight sets at No. 4.
Northwestern is back in action Sunday, meeting Oregon at 10 a.m.
