Northwestern Men's Tennis Edges Ball State, 4-3

Evanston, Ill. - The 30th-ranked Northwestern men's tennis team (7-1) wrapped up the weekend with a 4-3 win over Ball State in Muncie Ind. NU took four of the six singles matches to secure their seventh win of the year. Ball State picked up the doubles point and wins in the third and fourth singles positions to close in on NU, but the `Cats pulled out the victory with Jackie Jenkins' (College Park, Ga./Westlake) win at No. 1 singles (6-4, 6-4)
In doubles action, Brad Erickson (Eugene, Ore./South Eugene) and Joost Hol (Newport Beach, Calif./Foothill) teamed up to defeat the Cardinals' top pair of Edgardo Rivera and Chris Varga, (8-3) earning their seventh straight win. Erickson and Hol are undefeated in the month of February.
