Women's Swimming and Diving to Face Auburn, Tennessee

Evanston, Ill. - This weekend the 20th-ranked Northwestern women's swimming and diving squad heads to Knoxville, Tenn., to take on the Tennessee Lady Vols and the No. 5 Auburn Tigers. The meet will be held at UT's Student Aquatic Center on Saturday, January 13. There will be two sessions, with the first beginning at 11 a.m. and the second begining at 6 p.m.
All three teams competed most recently against the same team, No. 16 Arizona State University. Auburn was the only team to defeat the Sun Devils, 131-106. Both Northwestern (153-111) and Tennessee (131-112) fell to ASU. In the same meet, the Wildcats beat Washington handily, 173-89.
The Wildcats have had a tough schedule thus far this year. Four opponents were ranked in the top 25 when NU faced them: #1 UCLA, #12 Wisconsin, #19 ASU, and #22 Indiana. In dual competition the `Cats are 1-3 overall, 0-2 in the Big Ten.
