Wildcats Earn Academic All-America From CSCAA

Evanston, Ill. - Two Northwestern University women swimmers and the team as a whole earned Academic All-America honors for their classroom performance during the 1999-2000 school year. For recent NU graduate Amy Balcerzak, this was her fourth year being honored by the CSCAA. Balcerzak graduated in June with a degree in Biological Sciences and a cumlative GPA of 3.78. Susie Sample's 3.5 GPA earned her Academic All-America status in her first season as a Wildcat. Sample is enrolled in the McCormick School of Engineering.
The rest of the `Cats also did their part in the classroom, as the team was honored by the CSCAA with All-American Team honors. The team had a combined 3.303 GPA, which ranked 16th among all NCAA Division I institutions.
