Evanston, Ill. - Freshman Vicky West (Redlands, Calif./Redlands) was named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week for her performance at the Arizona State w/Washington duals.

West placed first in the 500 (4:56.37) and 1000 (10:02.49) freestyle posting top times in both events for Northwestern this season. West also turned in a personal best with a fourth place finish in the 200 freestyle.

The Wildcats split their dual, defeating Washington 173-89, while falling to #19 Arizona Sate 153-111.
