Women's Basketball Falls to No. 6 Purdue, 94-37

EVANSTON, ILL. - The Northwestern women's basketball team fell to sixth-ranked Purdue, 94-37, Sunday afternoon at Mackey Arena.
The Boilermakers opened the game with a 10-0 run before NU got on the board with a Leslie Dolland jumper. Purdue would take a 25-12 lead before scoring 12 straight, heading to the lockerroom with a 48-21 lead.
To open the second half, the two teams traded baskets before the Boilers pulled away on a 10-0 run (60-27). Purdue cruised to the victory, as all five starters scored in double figures. PU's Shereka Wright led all scorers with 19 points.
Northwestern was again plagued by turnovers, committing 32 as Purdue played an aggressive full-court press.
Dolland was NU's leading scorer with eight points. Ashley Messenger pulled down five rebounds to lead NU on the glass.
The Wildcats are back in action on Thursday, Jan. 18 when they host the Michigan Wolverines at 7 p.m.
