Women's Golf Tied For 22nd at NCAA Championships

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern University women's golf team is tied for 22nd after one day at the NCAA Championships, being held on the Crosswater Course at the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore. The Wildcats shot a first-round 313, putting them 25 over par and tied with Louisiana State.
Emily Gilley was the top Wildcat on Day 1, as she shot a 4-over-par 76 to put her in a tie for 44th place out of 126 golfers. Kristen Beystehner was right behind her, with a 5-over-par 77 which put her in a tie for 61st overall.
Northwestern is also being represented at the NCAA Championships by Elizabeth Burden (first-day 79/tied 88th), Karen England (81/tied 107th) and Christie Hermes (86/125th).
The NCAA Championship will continue through Saturday, as the teams will play one round each day on the Crosswater Course.
