Women's Golf Remains Second at NCAA East Regional

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's golf team sits in second place after two of the three rounds at the NCAA East Regional held in Columbus, Ohio. The tournament is taking place at the Ohio State University Scarlet golf course, a par-72, 6,037 yard course. NU shot a first and second round score of 299 for a total of 598 to put them in second place. The `Cats are just two shots off the pace set by Purdue (596).
Emily Gilley leads the way for the Wildcats after shooting a two-round total of 147. She is just seven strokes behind tournament leader Celeste Troche of Auburn. Christie Hermes shot a two-round total of 148 to put her in a tie for 10th, while Elizabeth Burden shot 151, good enough for 27th. Karen England shot a 152 while Kristen Beystehner fired a 157.
