
Men's Tennis Defeats Dartmouth, 5-2

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern University men's tennis team kicked off its spring to California with a 5-2 win over Dartmouth Tuesday afternoon in La Jolla. The win improved the Wildcats to 5-6 on the year.
Northwestern narrowly gained the day's first point by taking two of the three doubles matches, including a 9-8 decision by Josh Axler and Jamie Sahara in the No. 3 spot. The Wildcats then clinched the victory with wins in four of the six singles matches.
Joost Hol, Axler and Sahara were straight-set winners, while Brad Erickson fought back from a 0-6 loss in the first set to record a scintillating three-set win at No. 1.
