Women's Fencing Qualifies Five for NCAA Championships

EVANSTON, Ill. - With a 35-1 regular season record, a Midwest Conference Championship and a No. 2 ranking, the Northwestern women's fencing team started its hunt for a national championship by qualifying five fencers for this year's tournament. This year's tournament is being hosted by Stanford University and will take place on March 23-24 in Palo Alto, California.

Qualifying for the Wildcats are: Jennifer Greenebaum (Mendham, N.J./Pingrey School), Kate Rudkin (Boulder, Colo./Boulder), Kristen Dorf (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy), Vivian Imaizumi (Penn Valley, Pa./Harriton) and Carly Wells (Arlington Heights, Ill./John Hersey). Season records for the qualifiers are listed below:
