EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern wrestling team dropped a Big Ten dual meet to Indiana Friday night at Welsh-Ryan Arena, 29-14. The Wildcats wrestled Friday night without Scott Schatzman, the top-ranked wrestler in the country at 141 lbs. He was in Iowa City with his father, who had bypass surgery after suffering a heart attack during last weekend's Northwestern-Iowa dual.
Leading the way for the 'Cats Friday night was senior Mark Bybee (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) who upped his overall record to 19-7 earning a technical fall over Mingo Morrison of Indiana. Bybee improved his dual record to 13-3 and he boasts a 4-1 Big Ten record.
Sophomore Josh Saul (Corona Del Mar, Calif./Calvary Chapel) defeated his opponent, 3-2, in a close match in the heavyweight division. Saul improved to 11-14 overall with an even 8-8 record in duals.
