EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern field hockey team fell to Kent State University in Ann Arbor, Mich. by a score of 6-1 on Sunday.
Northwestern started the scoring when Diane Provencher put the Wildcats up 1-0 with 25:50 remaining on the first half clock. But Kent State answered just 21 seconds later, as Els Brouwer scored, tying the score at 1-1.
The rest of the scoring was went Kent State's way, as the Golden Flashes rattled off five unanswered goals for the win.
Northwestern falls to 4-9 as Kent State improves to 11-3.
