Men's Soccer Defeats Oral Roberts

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern pulled its record back up to .500 with a win over Oral Roberts at Lakeside Field this afternoon. After a quiet first half, the Wildcats pulled ahead on a header by senior midfielder Brandon Swalve (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg). NU sustained the lead on the strength of six second half saves by junior goalkeeper Matt Keeler (Portage, Mich./Portage Northern).
Swalve's goal was his third of the season, tying him for the team lead with junior forward Jon Cantwell (Brookfield, Wis./Brookfield East). With his second shutout of the year, Keeler lowered his goals against average to 0.70. The Wildcats open their Big Ten season at Lakeside Field this Sunday against Ohio State at 3 p.m.
