No. 8 Fencers Finish 2nd in Conference Meet

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's women's fencing team competed in the Midwest Fencing Conference Team Championships this weekend, finished second overall out of 11 teams. NU tallied 630 total points, placing behind only No. 4 Notre Dame (725 points), and ahead of No. 7 Ohio State (610 points). The Wildcat women tied for first with Notre Dame with 275 points. Freshman Kristen Dorf (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy) was the team's highest individual finisher, taking sixth in the women's foil. Freshman Jennifer Greenebaum (Mendham, N.J./Pingrey School) took seventh in the women's epee.

Northwestern will compete in the Midwest Regionals March 6 in Cleveland, Ohio. The NCAA Championships are March 18-21 in Waltham, Mass.
