Field Hockey Falls to Ohio State in Big Ten Tourney

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Northwestern's 1998 field hockey season came to a close following a loss to third-seeded Ohio State in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament in East Lansing, Mich. After seeing only two shots in the first half, Wildcat junior goalkeeper Jess Yates made all six of her saves in the second. Marije van Nouhuysi only shot of the game squeaked through with 26:41 remaining. Sophomore forward Lindsay Wright had six of the Cats' 10 shots.
