EVANSTON, Ill. - Michigan State forward Bridget Cooper scored with 1:11 remaining in the first overtime as the visiting Spartans notched a 3-2, come-from-behind win at Northwestern on Friday. The Wildcats jumped out to an early 1-0 lead just 61 seconds into the game as fifth-year senior Shannon West (St. Charles, Mo./Villa Duchesne) found the back of the cage. The Spartans tied it up six minutes later, but the Wildcats would hold a 2-1 lead at intermission thanks to a goal by sophomore forward Wendy Roberts (Toledo, Ohio/Ottawa Hills). The game remained 2-1 until late in the second half, as MSU earned a penalty corner as time expired. Spartan forward Marleen Tuip scored off the penalty corner to send the game into overtime.
