Amy Balcerzak Named to U.S. Swimming National Team

EVANSTON, Ill. - Junior Amy Balcerzak was named to USA Swimming's 1998-99 National B team as announced by the sport's governing body earlier this week. The team is comprised of U.S. swimmers who rank in the top 9-16 in their events in the FINA World Rankings as of Aug. 28, 1998.

Balcerzak, who hails from Sharon, Pa., garnered a No. 16 world ranking in the 100-meter breaststroke with her time of 1:10.08.

The benefit of making the National B team includes invitations to training camps in preparation for next summer's World University Games to be held next July in Spain.
