Men's Soccer Wins Second Straight

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern men?s soccer team won its second straight match and two of its last three with a win over Valparaiso University. Grant Trimble (Olathe, Kan./Olathe North) scored for the second straight game giving him four goals on the year. Paul Van Huysen (Portage Mich./Monsignor Hackett) scored his first goal of the season off a rebound from 10 yards out. David DeHorn (Troy, Mich./Troy) scored his second goal of the season with the assist going to Jun Kim (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier). The Wildcats outshot Valpo 14 to 6 as Chris Berlin (West Lafayette, Ind./West Lafayette)started his first game of the year. Berlin and Matt Keeler (Portage Mich./Portage Northern) combined in the shutout.
