Shealyn Abbott joined the Northwestern Athletics communications team in October of 2022. A Northwestern graduate herself, Abbott works primarily with women's basketball, baseball, cross country and field hockey.
Abbott's career in sports began in 2019 as an intern with the Minnesota Twins and also included time as a student worker in Northwestern Athletics' communications department during the 2019-20 season. Following graduation, she spent two summers as a media relations assistant for the Iowa Cubs (AAA) before returning to Evanston.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Abbott graduated from Northwestern in 2020 with a BA in communication studies and a double major in English literature.
