Shannon Stevens

Shannon Stevens joined Northwestern Athletics as a Clinical Dietician in September 2025. In her role, she provides individualized nutrition counseling, team education, meal planning, and assessment of food and supplement safety and security for Northwestern student-athletes.
A native of Cary, Ill., Stevens earned her B.S. in Family Consumer Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Illinois State University in 2017 before completing her M.S. in Food and Nutrition Sciences at Ohio University in 2020.
Prior to arriving in Evanston, Stevens spent over three years working in eating disorder treatment in higher levels of care before transitioning to sports nutrition, a long-time passion. Most recently, she completed a sports nutrition fellowship at the University of Maryland, where she worked with cross country and track & field.
Outside of work, Stevens enjoys weight lifting, pilates, outdoor activities in every season—including hiking, boating, wakeboarding, and snowboarding—and reading.
