Dr. Rachel Erickson joined Northwestern in 2024. She is responsible for managing the health care of the football, men's and women's golf, cross country, fencing and women's soccer teams. She also serves as a sports medicine specialist with NM Student Health Center.
Dr. Erickson earned her medical degree from Des Moines University. She completed residency in Family Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison followed by fellowships in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the University of Iowa and the University of Oregon.
Dr. Erickson came to Northwestern from private practice with EmergeOrtho in Asheville, NC where she assisted in providing care for 3 colleges and multiple local high schools. She has also worked as a team physician for US Wrestling.
Dr. Erickson is a proud Yooper, hailing from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and resides in Evanston, IL. She enjoys exploring the wilderness, drinking good coffee and providing a lavish life for her dogs.
