Mary Liz Jayne joined Northwestern Department of Athletics and Recreation in December of 2023.
Prior to her start at Northwestern, Mary Liz spent the last nine years working in community parks and recreation, most recently at the Wilmette Park District. While in Wilmette, Mary Liz oversaw the Recreation Programs Division, creating and implementing programs in areas of athletics, special events, summer camps, general recreation, cultural arts, and more. Mary Liz started her career at the Lisle Park District where she held a variety of roles, including managing the community fitness center and outdoor aquatic park.
Mary Liz received her Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism from the University of Illinois and a Master’s in Public Administration from Northern Illinois University. She is excited to bring her passion for recreation to the Northwestern students and community.
Mary Liz is a Chicago native and resides there with her fiancé.
