John Mucovich has been a member of the Northwestern University Sports Medicine Department since August of 2017. He is the Head Football Athletic Trainer and is responsible for managing the health care of the football team. He is also responsible for the development and progression of the Athletic Training Students in the program's Clinical Immersion experience.
Mucovich is a graduate of Michigan State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. As a graduate assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno, Mucovich worked with Nevada’s football and tennis programs. He also had the privilege to work at multiple different universities across the country and has had the opportunity to learn from great mentors along the way. He is interested in osteopathic manual medicine, preventative functional rehabilitation and Athletic Training Clinical Education.
Mucovich resides in the Chicago area with his wife and two children.
