Tad Skelley
Tad Skelley is in his third season on the Northwestern coaching staff. He primarily works with the Northwestern infielders, while also assisting in the development of the hitters.

Skelley guided the 'Cats improvement in hitting and fielding in 2017 in as they appeared in their first Big Ten Tournament since 2010 and their first Big Ten Tournament championship game since 1984. 

Skelley improved the team's fielding percentage from .967 in 2016 to .974 in 2017, a mark in the top 20% of the country and the sixth-highest in the Big Ten.

The Wolfeboro, N.H., native also serves camp coordinator. In addition to those duties, Skelley assists associate head coach Josh Reynolds and assistant coach Dusty Napoleon with their on-campus recruiting efforts.
 
The former Wheaton College (Massachusetts) standout most served as the Director of Operations at Notre Dame from 2013-15. He helped to plan all aspects of the Fighting Irish practices, served as the video analysis coordinator, assisted with camp organization and planned all travel and financial arrangements.
 
Before his stint in South Bend, Ind., Skelley was a mathematics teacher and baseball coach at Cardigan Mountain School in Canaan, N.H. from 2012-13.
 
Skelley graduated from Wheaton in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. He had a hand in 130 victories over four seasons as the Lyon won three conference regular season championships and three tournament titles. He served as a team captain in 2011 and graduated as a .345 career hitter.
 
Prior to arriving at Wheaton, Skelley stood out in baseball, hockey and football at Holderness School in Plymouth, R.I. He claimed the Webster Cup as the school's top athlete in 2007.

Skelley is married to the former Josie Hill, a Northwestern alumnae, and they reside in Glenview, Ill., with their daughter, Madden.
