As part of our ongoing effort to enhance our fan experience across all of our venues, we are utilizing mobile tickets at all Northwestern Athletics events beginning in 2021-22! Now, fans have a new and convenient way to access tickets and parking passes for every Wildcats home event directly through their smartphones.



Access Your Mobile Tickets and Parking Passes via the App!

Getting to your mobile tickets and parking passes is now easier with the Northwestern Wildcats app. See below for instruction.
  1. Download the Northwestern Wildcats app. For more information on the app, visit NUSports.com/App.
  2. Open the app and select 'Tickets' at the bottom-right of your screen.
  3. To purchase tickets, select 'Purchase Tickets'. To access tickets you've already purchased, select 'Manage Tickets'.
  4. Log in to your account and follow the on-screen details and directions.



How to Link Your Account (for first-time account users)
You have an account with us, but you're using it online for the first time? Here's how you activate and access your online account.
  1. Locate your account number and PIN. If you don't have these and cannot locate them, please call us at 888-GO-PURPLE (467-8775) or email us at cat-tix@northwestern.edu.
    • Please Note: A PIN is only needed if you have never signed into your account on NUSports.com/Tickets. If you have logged into your account previously, please follow instructions in the next section below.
  2. Visit NUSports.com/Tickets. Select 'My Account' from the top of the page, 'Sign In' in the drop-down menu, then 'Activate My Account' toward the bottom of the page.
  3. Enter your account number and PIN, then enter your email address and create a password when prompted. Be sure to save your email address and password since you'll use it to log in to your account in the future.
  4. Your account is now activated online!
How to Sign into Your Account (for returning account users)
You already have an account with us and need a refresher on how to sign in? See steps below.
  1. Locate your account number and password. If you do not remember your password, click "Forgot Password," follow the instructions on the screen, and a temporary password will be sent to you.
  2. Sign in with your account number and password.
    • Please Note: You do not need a PIN number to access your account if you have already previously signed in.

How to Order and Download Your Mobile Tickets
When you buy a ticket to any Northwestern Athletics event, they will now be all mobile. Mobile tickets are specifically designed for smartphones and sent as a link either by a text message or email directly to you. Once you've opened that link on your mobile device, you can download your tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay for entry on gameday.
  1. Order your tickets online at NUSports.com/Tickets.
  2. Choose MOBILE as your preferred delivery method.
  3. You will receive either a text message or an email with a link to open your tickets. Click that link using your smartphone to open your tickets.
  4. Once you've opened your tickets on your smartphone, select 'Add to Apple Wallet' or 'Save to G Pay'.
  5. Tap ADD when presented with your ticket. Your wallet app will then have your ticket saved.
  6. When you arrive at the gate on gameday, open your wallet app on your smartphone and present your tickets to the gate attendants for entry!
You can always access your ticket via your account within your mobile browser, but we encourage you to use your smartphone's wallet app and download your ticket in advance to save you time on gameday!

 
How to Use Contactless Mobile Ticketing
Entering our venues on gameday is now easier than ever with contactless mobile tickets!
  1. Be sure to order your mobile tickets in advance and add them to your smartphone's wallet app before gameday by using the steps mentioned above.
  2. As you approach the gate, open your smartphone's wallet app and select the ticket.
  3. At the gate, present your mobile ticket to the attendant and hold your smartphone steady as they scan your ticket.
  4. If you have multiple tickets for the event, simply let the gate attendant know and swipe left or right to view each ticket to scan.
 


Sending Tickets
  1. Log in to your account via mobile browser at NUSports.com/Tickets.
  2. On the first page, scroll down to the bottom to find the TRANSFER button.
  3. Select the events and tickets you want to transfer, enter in the smartphone number of the recipient.
  4. Tap CONFIRM and your tickets will be sent!

Accepting Tickets
  1. Tap on the link from your text message.
  2. Select ACCEPT TRANSFER. 
    • Note: There is an expiration date on the transfer.
  3. Log in to your account.
  4. Your new tickets are listed in your account now!
 


What are mobile tickets?
Mobile tickets are digital tickets sent directly to you after purchase via email or text message. Mobile tickets are displayed and scanned directly on your smartphone.
 

Why use mobile tickets?
Northwestern Athletics provides a contactless entry to all home events through the use of mobile tickets. This contactless entry ensures added safety for our fans by eliminating some concerns around physical touching that are prevalent at this time. In addition, mobile tickets provide added convenience for fans and reduce frequent issues related to paper tickets including theft, shipping delays, lost tickets, and the need for early confirmation of a shipping address. The use of mobile tickets will also protect against fraud and counterfeit issues.
 

What are the benefits of mobile tickets?
     You have the ability to manage, transfer, and sell your tickets at any time through your smartphone.
     You can easily transfer your tickets to friends and family using your smartphone.
     You don't need to print your tickets! Simply present your smartphone with your tickets at the gate for quick and easy entry.

     You avoid waiting in Will Call lines to pick up your tickets.
     Your tickets will not get lost or delayed in the mail.
     You reduce your risk of lost, stolen, counterfeit, or forgotten tickets.

 

What if I don't have a smartphone?
We understand. There are two possible solutions. First, check to see if anyone in your party has a smart phone. If so, transfer your tickets to them and use their smart phone upon entry to the event. If no one in your party has a smart phone, please contact your Account Representative directly or the Northwestern University Ticket Office at 888-GO-PURPLE (467-8775) or cat-tix@northwestern.edu.
 

How do mobile parking passes work?
Your mobile parking passes will also be sent via email or text message after purchase so you can add them to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay. Mobile parking passes can be transferred and sold in the same way as your mobile tickets.
 

What if my guest(s) and I arrive at separate times to the event?
Each individual will need a mobile ticket to enter the venue. Mobile tickets can be transferred to each member of your party prior to your arrival. This will allow you and your party the convenience of entering at your own time. Instructions on how to transfer mobile tickets or parking passes are included above.
 

What if I don't have reception at the venue?
There is Wi-Fi available in and around our venues, but we do suggest downloading your mobile tickets and parking passes to Apple Wallet or Google Pay apps prior to arriving at the event to avoid reception issues. Once your mobile tickets are successfully downloaded to Apple Wallet or Google Pay apps, reception is not required to access them.
 

What if my phone dies or I forgot it at home?
If you do not have access to your smartphone once you reach the gate at the event, please visit the ticket booth at the event for assistance.


Can I have multiple mobile tickets and parking passes on the same device?
Yes! Every mobile ticket and parking pass in your account will be included in the link sent to you via email or text message. Mobile tickets and parking passes can be viewed by swiping left or right on your smartphone once you open Apple Wallet or Google Pay. If your entire party is not arriving at the same time, we recommend transferring tickets to each member of your party for easiest access while entering the venue.


Can I download and print my mobile tickets or parking passes instead of using my smartphone?
No. A mobile ticket or parking pass barcode cannot be transferred to paper. Any barcodes transferred to paper will not be acceptable for entry to our events.
 

What software or hardware do I need?
If you have an iPhone or an Apple Watch, simply use the Apple Wallet app, which comes pre-installed and works with devices running iOS 6 or newer. If you have an Android smartphone, you can use the Google Pay app.
 

I deleted the ticket delivery email before downloading the tickets to my smartphone's Wallet... Can I still get my tickets?
Yes! Not to worry. To download your tickets, sign in to your account at NUSports.com/Tickets via a mobile browser on your smartphone. Once you're signed in, navigate to My Tickets, choose the event, and download your mobile tickets from there.
 

Can I transfer tickets to someone who doesn't have an account with Northwestern?
Yes, you can. With the text message they receive, they will be prompted to create an account if they don't already have one. The recipient must create an account to complete and accept the ticket transfer.
 

Can I cancel a ticket transfer?
Yes, if the transfer has not yet been accepted by the recipient. You can do this when you are logged into your account.
 

Is there a cost to transfer tickets?
There is no fee to transfer tickets from your account.
 

Can I show the confirmation email or text message of the ticket to get into the game?
No. The confirmation text message or email does NOT suffice as a ticket. You will need to access your mobile ticket by clicking on the link in the text message or email, then log in to your account or create one before adding the ticket to your smartphone's wallet app.
 

Why have I not received my mobile tickets yet?
Your tickets should be delivered via text message or email within one hour of purchase. If your text message or email has not arrived:
  1. Make sure you used the correct email address and/or phone number when ordering your tickets. To do this, access your account online at NUSports.com/Tickets.
  2. Check your junk mail folder.
  3. Make sure that your spam guard and junk mail settings allow you to receive emails with attachments.
  4. Be sure to add our email address, cat-tix@northwestern.edu, to your list of trusted email addresses.
Alternatively, your tickets will also show up in your account within a few minutes. You can access them by logging into your account via mobile browser and then download them to your smartphone's wallet app. Instructions for downloading your tickets are listed at the top of this page.
