Wildcat Professional Excellence Program
| The Wildcat Professional Excellence Program (WPEP) is an annual event for Northwestern's junior student-athletes, aimed at exposing them to a variety of career paths while also allowing them to hone in on a particular field of interest by meeting with the industry's best profesionals. Through speed networking as well as an informative panel discussion, juniors experience first-hand the resources and support system they inherit as part of the Wildcat family. Additionally, the student-athletes are required to dress in appropriate business attire and craft business cards to exchange with the professionals. Northwestern provides a pair of pre-programming events leading up to the WPEP experience, including a session titled, "Armed for Professional Success" as well as an Etiquette Dinner. Approximately 30 professionals participate in the event each year and come from a plethora of industries. Past WPEP keynote speakers have been Senator Bill Bradley and Stephen Friedman, former CEO of Goldman Sachs. |
