Joe Nudo Bio -

Joe Nudo joined the Northwestern staff as an assistant director of sports performance prior to the 2011-12 athletic season. Nudo's primary responsibilities are with baseball, volleyball and wrestling.
Nudo came to Northwestern from Eastern Washington University, where he served in a similar capacity working with men's and women's basketball, men's and women's track and field, men's and women's cross country and assisting with the 2010 FCS National Champion football team.
Prior to his stint at EWU, Nudo spent one year as an assistant strength and conditioning coach and two years as a graduate assistant at the University of Arkansas. While in Fayetteville, he handled the strength and conditioning efforts for men's track and field, soccer, men's tennis and men's golf. He also assisted with the women's basketball, baseball, softball and volleyball teams.
Before the University of Arkansas, Nudo was an intern at North Carolina State University. There he received experience working with nearly every Olympic sport on campus.
Nudo received his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Western Illinois University in 2008, and a master's degree in exercise science from the University of Arkansas in 2010. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Nudo and his wife, Jessica, have a daughter, Eliza.
